When a teacher hears the word "August" it pretty much means 3 little words: Summer. Is. OVER. Time to prep, time to plan. But thank goodness Doodle Bugs Teaching has brought back the fabulous Five For Friday {with a new makeover I might add} just in time to celebrate those last few days!
Before the start of each day, I need my Jesus time. I discovered this devotional through a pin on Pinterest and ordered it last school year. I LOVE it because it takes real-life stories of what a teacher faces at work and pairs it with scripture. What's more perfect than that!
I blogged about making my "READ" letters {here} and finally made it up to school to put them on my naked bookcase. I have to say myself, they look fabulous!
I originally saw a post by Rachelle at What the Teacher Wants about using a borrow bucket {link to post here} and thought what a great idea that would be to have at each table...only to defeat the purpose of getting up out of their seats. In it will be extra glue, scissors, pencils, erasers, etc. BUT the catch is to put a "flag" (I'm going to use duct tape" so that when they are finished they know it goes back into the bucket and not in their pencil box...the key to keeping them in the bucket and not growing legs and walking off!
This one is simply just a reminder to relax and enjoy those last few "cat days" of summer...just like my spoiled little boy!

On a side note Kelli from Surviving the Little People is having a *giveaway* with some great prizes! Head on over to her blog to enter!
Happy Friday!
Aww.. what a sweet kitty all stretched out on the ledge. Nobody knows how to appreciate a sunbeam like a cat does!
