Currently in April

Since I had already had a blog post for yesterday, I am fashionably late to the currently party for this month. {This is SO ironic because I absolutely can't stand being late to anything!}

I've noticed that I have started out the last 2 currently's by saying something like this..."I can't believe it's already ______!" And, yes I can't believe it is already April either! I swear I'm not complaining...I DO want summer to get here but when it does, it goes by just as fast! So onto the linky...

*Listening: My cat thinks he is a dog, I swear. When I get home the first thing he wants to go is go outside. He rolls on the driveway, stalks lizards, and eats grass. Yes, very dog-like. I'm guessing he is telling me he really wants to go back out!

*Loving: My husband is a fire chief, so there are quite a few nights a week I am home by myself. He is taking college courses for a Bachelor's degree so when he is here, he is doing homework, reading, blah blah blah. {This reminds me NOT to go back to college, thanks hun!}  So I feel very lucky that he is cooking tonight!

*Thinking: Yes, don't get me wrong...we need the rain. Our Bluebonnets are fading quickly! But I really DO love my sleep and I am such a light sleeper. It should be arriving right at my bed time. Yay--can't wait (sarcastic voice).

*Wanting: While grocery shopping I magically discovered the Easter candy isle and a bag of Butterfinger eggs caught my eye. I've been scarfing them down ever since. I also bought the ingredients to make lemon brownies with a glaze on top....needless to say I LOVE sweets and really despise working out! I have better things to do but I guess loving sweets is in the same territory as working out, unfortunately.

*Needing: The last unit I made has done so good, but I have had NO motivation to make anything else. Maybe a plants unit? Ideas???

*Advice: This is something I struggle with. I like to have everything complete before I leave work and ready for the next day. I also like to stay ahead and plan for upcoming weeks. So, I usually don't leave work on time and have little time at home. I've been much better this year than last but could use a little more personal time at home if ya know what I mean!

I just may be the last person to link up this month! So if you haven't it's not too late : )

  2. Hey Lindsay! Ahh..a girl after my own heart! LOVE me some sweets and hate working out!! :) I totally hear you about the leaving work on time! Several years ago, I began the Daily Five and got out just about every day at a decent time! Enter the common core....now I am stuck at school until 4:30 or 5 and often later.

  5. We have a crazy bus schedule this year, so dismissal takes 30-40 mins. It gives us extra time to prep for the next day which is nice, but since we still have kids in the room, it can be difficult to concentrate as well. It also helps that Tamra has a little one to get home to and Sarah has 2 pups to get home to.

  6. Your post just cracked me up! Our cat thinks he a dog too. We have two dogs and the cat will 'talk' to them... all the time! However, when the cat catches mice, the dogs are in awe of him! :) I hear what you are saying about motivation... hang in there! I'm your newest follower btw. Great blog! :) The Learning Lab

  8. I struggled with staying late a lot in recent years. This year is so much better, but I'm still at school for almost 9 1/2 - 10 hours at least 3 days a week. And people wonder what teachers do on their summer break...

  9. Found your blog through Currently. I am stalking around finding some firstie teachers. I will be teaching first grade next year and I love making TpT classroom theme and packets. Check out my blog and leave me a comment if you have any great ideas!

    I am a morning person so I get to school about an hour and a half before I have to...I get so much more done. But then I find myself staying at least 30 minutes to an hour after every day anyways!

    Freebie in my latest post if you comment!
